Overview
Combine DFRobot DFR0300 (K=1) and DFR0300-H (K=10) into one EC (electrical conductivity) series covering freshwater/nutrient solutions through high-salinity seawater/brine. Both boards support 3.05.0 V input, BNC probes + PH2.0-3Pin signal, AC excitation (reduces polarization for stable readings and longer probe life), and plug-and-play use with Arduino/Raspberry Pi.
-
DFR0300 uses two-point calibration (1413 S/cm & 12.88 mS/cm), recommended range 115 mS/cm (supports 020 mS/cm).
-
DFR0300-H uses single-point calibration for 10100 mS/cm high-EC liquids (seawater, concentrated brine).
A temperature compensation algorithm is available in the libraries; for best accuracy, add a DS18B20 waterproof temperature sensor for automatic compensation.
Applications: hydroponics/aquaponics, freshwater & marine aquaria, aquaculture, environmental & wastewater monitoring, DIY multi-parameter water quality meters.
Model Selection
-
DFR0300 (K=1): lowmid EC (freshwater, nutrient solution); supports 020 mS/cm; recommended 115 mS/cm.
-
DFR0300-H (K=10): high EC (seawater, brine, high-salinity wastewater); 10100 mS/cm.
Tip: For wide coverage, use both K=1 and K=10 probes with software-selectable calibration profiles.
Key Features (Both Models)
-
Plug & play: Gravity connector + BNC probe; no soldering
-
AC excitation + hardware filtering: lower polarization/jitter, more stable readings
-
Wide supply: 3.05.0 V; compatible with 5 V & 3.3 V MCUs
-
Calibration: automatic recognition of standard solutions
-
DFR0300: two-point (1413 S/cm, 12.88 mS/cm)
-
DFR0300-H: single-point
-
-
Temperature compensation algorithm in libraries (recommend DS18B20 for auto-comp)
-
Unified board size and connectors for easy mechanical integration
