The Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum is a twin-engine supersonic air superiority fighter developed in the 1970s to counter new American aircraft such as the McDonnell Douglas F-15.
It entered service with the Soviet Air Force from the early 1980s.
Thanks to its two Klimov RD-33 afterburning turbofan engines, the Fulcrum is capable of reaching a maximum speed of Mach 2.2.
It is characterized by a very elegant and harmonious aerodynamic profile with a flat and wide fuselage and two vertical tail fins.
